The siren warning system is tested the first Wednesday of the month at noon, except during instances of threatening weather or City of Huntsville holidays. If the test is postponed due to inclement weather or a holiday, the test will be re-scheduled for the following Wednesday at noon.

We test the warning sirens once a month, on the first Tuesday at 10:00am. If there is inclement weather, the test will be postponed or cancelled. The redundancy of the system allows for outdoor users to hear sirens even when one closer may not sound, but this is also why it may not be heard indoors.
